Kristjan Zemljič
Kristjan Zemljič is co-founder of Global Disruption and an internationally recognized expert in AI-powered EU grant engineering. Together with his co-founder, he has trained 2,700+ researchers, grant professionals, and project managers across Europe. His training programs are known for being intensely practical, backed by real-world examples from 20+ years in EU funding.
Meet Kristjan
Kristjan is among the pioneers of systematic generative AI implementation in EU project development. With over twenty years of experience in European funding programs and 3,100+ hours implementing artificial intelligence, he’s recognized as one of the field’s most influential experts.
Since 2013 he mostly worked as a consultant for EU funding of deep-tech innovations. He built on his exceptional knowledge of EU funding with three international project management certifications: ECQA EU Project Manager, ECQA Trainer, and ELITE EU Developer.
Since 2023, he focuses grant engineering and on training research teams in AI implementation for EU grant preparation. Apart from clients, he actively builds in-house proposals—primarily educational projects where his team also participates. His solutions help teams targeting funding from programs like Horizon Europe, EIC, Eureka, Eurostars, Digital Europe, Interreg, Widera, and others.
Kristjan is the creator of the Loqig AI engine—an advanced 22-step AI-enhanced methodology that assists teams in EU project preparation and management. He also built several other digital assistants to rapidly create project concepts, write work plans, assess idea fit, and define project partnerships. As a prompt engineer, he consults on and develops intelligent AI assistants for project management and reporting.
His long-term goal is to empower at least 10,000 professionals with knowledge of responsible and systematic generative AI use, contributing to a more adaptable, green, connected, and innovative society.
Kristjan is also a passionate endurance cyclist. In his free time, he tackles long-distance rides that provide space for reflection and regeneration. He enjoys science fiction and writes essays exploring the intersection of technology, the future, and human nature.

Maja is also an avid reader, cyclist, runner, and world traveler. Though she frequently speaks publicly, she prefers being where real transformation happens—in one-on-one mentoring or team settings where participants experience genuine “aha moments” during knowledge transfer.
